What is mastery learning? A student at Marysville Early College High School explains.

On a recent visit to Marysville Early College High School, a KnowledgeWorks partner school in Marysville, Ohio, students and teachers talked at length about the mastery learning that is in place at their school. In it’s most basic definition, mastery learning is an instructional strategy that has students achieving a level of mastery in a subject area before moving forward to learn subsequent information.

I asked a student to explain in a little more depth:
